Our Story

The TwoWheelTimeMachine is a collection of early, rare and unusual bicycles curated by bicycle history enthusiast Gordon Hobbis and his family over a life time in the bicycle industry. Gordon is the youngest son of Cap Hobbis. Cap started Cap's Bicycle Shop in historic New Westminster, British Columbia with the help of his two brothers in 1932. Growing up surrounded by bicycles in the family business ignited Gordon's interest in the history of the bicycle.

For many years the collection was displayed at the Cap's Bicycle Shop. Now Gordon, his wife Nina and their two sons Jake and Joey are proud to have a dedicated building to display the collection. The aim is to have an interactive, up close and personal presentation telling the story of the evolution of the bicycle.

The TwoWheelTimeMachine is operated by the DandyHorse Bicycle Society, a registered (incorporation #S0079677) not for profit society in British Columbia.
